Case Studies
Case Studies are useful examples of how agencies involved in the public safety mission are effectively leveraging GIS. The Model Practices Task Force will continue to seek examples of projects which serve as useful case studies to help agencies interested in implementing effective public safety GIS practices. The task force hopes to establish a peer-review process and publish guidelines for agencies who want to be considered as a best practice.
The following agencies have received national acclaim for their success in their public safety GIS efforts and have offered to share the examples below. You can copy and use for your benefit, but they have not been formally peer-reviewed or "endorsed" by the Alliance.
