  • Educational Tour of Orange County Fire Authority. Overview of the organization and the GIS Section.
  • User perspectives: Administrative managers, Operational Officers, and GIS technicians.
  • Fire GIS Basics: Finding data in your local area. How to find and gather critical data.
  • Panel discussion on local fire department incident support for wildland fires. Will include best practices, data acquisition for incidents, FMIT Training for GIS professionals & practitioners, hardware and software requirements, the production of needed mapping products, and open discussion.
  • Updates initiatives:
    • National: NAPSG; Virtual USA; VIPER; standards (NFPA, NIEM, Fire Data Model)
    • State: Cal EMA (data/COP/VIPER); FireScope
    • Regional: LA County Regional Planning (LARIAC); San Diego Regional Planning (JRIC); South Ops
    • Local: An assessment of where we are. Networking: Updates from participants–—who and where we are. Where do we want to take this users group?
