What We Do
Task Forces
The National Alliance for Public Safety GIS conducts activities through three task forces:
The Workshops and Training Task Force is focused on workforce development through regional workshops and training events. NAPSG Lead: Center For Public Safety Excellence
The Model Practices Task Force is developing guidelines and identifying case studies of successful implementations. NAPSG Lead: National Association of State Fire Marshals
The Standards Task Force is working to influence support for GIS at the policy level by promoting standards to facilitate consistent use of data exchange standards and data models. NAPSG Lead: National Fire Protection Association
The Outreach Task Force is focused on spreading the word about the importance of Public Safety GIS and the work of NAPSG through conference exhibits and presentations. NAPSG Lead: ESRI
